Africa-Press – South-Sudan. Vulnerable mothers and children getting treatment at Western Equatoria State’s Yambio State Hospital on Tuesday morning received essential medicines and food from the Ethiopian Battalion deployed under UNMISS.
This donation aims to improve patient recovery and overall health by addressing critical gaps in medical supplies and nutrition.
“Our commitment goes beyond peacekeeping; we are dedicated to supporting the health of mothers and children by providing these vital medicines and nutritious food,” said Colonel Endele Eshetu, Commander of the Ethiopian Battalion. “We will continue this humanitarian support as part of our mission.”
The donation was made in close collaboration with hospital staff and the state health ministry.
