Vice President Josephine Lagu Yanga has held talks on sustainable peace and development with a visiting delegation from the United States House of Representatives Foreign Affairs Committee in Juba.

The delegation, led by the U.S. Ambassador to South Sudan, Michael J. Adler, discussed ways to strengthen cooperation between South Sudan and the United States.

The talks held focused on peacebuilding, governance, and improved service delivery.

Both sides highlighted shared priorities aimed at supporting South Sudan’s path toward sustainable development and strengthening institutional capacity across the country.

Vice President Yanga, who chairs the Economic Cluster, thanked the delegation for the visit.

She emphasized the importance of continued partnership with international stakeholders to advance national development goals and promote stability.

The meeting also aimed to strengthen ongoing cooperation between South Sudan and the United States in promoting peace, collaboration, and shared progress.
