Africa-Press – South-Sudan. Yei Joint Stars defeated Munuki FC on March 21st at the Juba National Stadium to win the South Sudan Women’s Cup for the 2025–2026 season.
Yei Joint Stars took the lead in the 27th minute with a goal from Esther. Munuki FC equalized in the 51st minute through Sharon. The match ended 1-1 at the conclusion of regular time.
The winner was decided by a penalty shootout. Yei Joint Stars converted five penalties, while Munuki FC converted three.
The victory marks the third Women’s Cup title for Yei Joint Stars. The club has held the championship title from 2019 through 2026.
Munuki FC reached the final after competing throughout the tournament and forced the match into a shootout.
