Africa-Press – South-Sudan. A senior official from the Sudan People Liberation Movement in Opposition (SPLM-IO), Nyajany Joshua Dei Wal, has met Lt. Gen. Simon Gatwech, leader of the SPLM/IO Kitgwang faction, in Magenis.
In a photo shared with The City Review, Nyajany, a fierce critic of Riek Machar, is seen standing side to side with Gatwech and two other officials as a military officer looks on from a distance.
The details of the meeting were not made immediately known but sources say the Australia-based official travelled to Magenis to demonstrate her support.
The meeting comes in time the SPLA-IO factional fights have intensified with both camps accusing each other of provocation.
