Africa-Press – South-Sudan. <\/strong><\/span>An outspoken South Sudanese activist has said that citizens of the world\u2019s youngest country are more divided than any other time in the country\u2019s history under President Salva Kiir Mayardit saying President Kiir has \u2018successfully\u2019 used tribal card to plant ethnic tensions among the people of South Sudan.<\/p>\n

This comes after local farmers in Central Equatoria state and cattle keepers clashed in Eastern Equatoria state resulting in the killing of several innocent civilians including women, elderly and children over the weekend.<\/p>\n

In a statement, Wani Michael, an outspoken activist who has fled to exile after threats of death from members of the National Security Service (NSS), said President Salva Kiir Mayardit\u2019s regime has divided the people of South Sudan deeply than any other time in South Sudan\u2019s history.<\/p>\n

The activist claimed that President Salva Kiir Mayardit has decided to arms some ethnic groups in the war-torn country against their fellow South Sudanese ethnic groups.<\/p>\n

\u201cUnder President Kiir government, South Sudanese are more divided than never in our history. He has successfully succeeded in using the tribal card, divide and rule policy. He decides at will to arm one group against the other and pretend like his government is not involved,\u201d he wrote on Facebook.<\/p>\n

\u201cWho\u2019s arming these cattle keepers chasing farmers away from their farmland?\u201d he asked, after cattle keepers attacked farmers in Central Equatoria state.<\/p>\n

\u201cWhat if the farmers decide to arm themselves? Someone will pull the tribal card, anyway we don\u2019t have a government but a group of united cartels and conmen because it seems these cattle keepers are more armed and powerful than government,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n
