Africa-Press – South-Sudan. <\/strong><\/span>Yei Joint Stars continued their remarkable display by thrashing one of the favored teams, Kuku W.FC of Torit 5-0 at Buluk Playground on Wednesday. The defending champions of South Sudan got off to a great start with a goal from winger Rahma six minutes in, before their prolific striker scored a brace in the 18th and 36th minutes to make it 3-0 at halftime.<\/p>\n

They scored two goals in the second half to make it five nil, including Deborah Luka\u2019s third straight hat trick in a row. Deborah has already scored 12 goals in three outings, a new South Sudan record. That has never been done by a woman.<\/p>\n

Torit ladies defeated Juba\u2019s Champions in the aggregate by a score of four goals to one, winning both their home and away legs. Kuku FC won three to one in the first leg, and after grabbing one nil in the second leg, the two victories were enough to advance them to the semifinals against the unstoppable Yei\u2019s side.<\/p>\n

Despite their elimination, fans praised the Torit giants for conceding fewer than a week\u2019s worth of goals, as is typical of Yei\u2019s team. In other matches, an own goal by Al Hilal women\u2019s FC eliminated them from the finals, allowing Yambio\u2019s ladies\u2019 Nile City to advance to the finals.<\/p>\n

Governor Futuyo\u2019s team will now face Yei Joint, one of the best women\u2019s On the 6th of this month, the two teams will compete in the finals at the same playground.<\/p>\n

Emmanuel Barak Aram, the assistant coach of Yambio\u2019s Nile City FC, expressed gratitude to his players for making it to the finals for the first time in the club\u2019s history shortly after the game.<\/p>\n

Mr. Aram expressed his delight with his players for reaching the finals of the Women\u2019s South Sudan Cup for the first time in the club\u2019s and Western Equatoria State\u2019s history. However, he emphasized that his players must do much more if they are to beat Yei\u2019s team, which appeared to be well-organized in all areas.<\/p>\n

\u201cLillian, Dorris, Mercy, and Jacky are the top players on my team. They\u2019re all better players than I expected them to do better today, but that\u2019s all there is to it. I anticipate them to improve even more in order to win the South Sudan Cup.\u201d<\/p>\n

However, he stated that there is no reason to be afraid of the Yei giants, stating that anything can happen in football, and that his club is ready to take the cup away from the current holders, the Yei Joint Stars.<\/p>\n
