Vice president for Gender and Youth cluster, Rebecca Nyandeng de Mabior said that women in the country work hard for themselves since they have been denied opportunities at different workplaces.<\/p>\n

This came as part of the preparation for women\u2019s International day that is meant to take place on 8th of March. While addressing the Media, Nyandeng said that women lack finances, that is why they look incompetent and not strong and urged them to start empowering themselves.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe {women} should start our revolution, our struggle because it\u2019s very important for us to see how we can develop ourselves so that we can reach the equality that men want,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n

She added that \u201cEven though I know that we have women, who can be able to compete with men but still we are being denied the opportunity for that, but when I studied it,I saw it that it\u2019s because we are not strong financially so we need to see this year, the year that we start to empower ourselves amicably so that we can let men know that we can participate even in bringing our families together with them,\u201d she explained.<\/p>\n

She also added that\u201cWe need to support and teach our girls to let them know that women\u2019s day is also meant for them,\u201d However, Nyandeng also told women and girls to stand for their rights and join hands with their sistersinternationally.<\/p>\n
