Africa-Press<\/a> – South-Sudan<\/a>. <\/strong><\/span>South Sudan\u2019s Vice President for Youth and Gender Cluster Mama Rebecca Garang De Mabior has said that she is preparing the country\u2019s delegation to the 76th United Nations General Assembly in New York, Radio Tamazuj reports.<\/p>\n

President Salva Kiir Mayardit had Last week, delegated Garang to lead the country\u2019s delegation for this year\u2019s UN General Assembly.<\/p>\n

In an interview with Radio Tamazuj, Mrs. Garang that the high-level delegation she will head is preparing itself for the mission.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe general assembly will be on the 21st so we are waiting for our Visas. When the Visas are out, some of us will go and others will follow later. I am going with five ministers from the revitalized government of national unity,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n

She, however, did not disclose which of the ministers will travel with her.<\/p>\n

Nyandeng, who is expected to address the assembly on the implementation of the revitalized peace agreement, will be the first female leader to represent the country at the assembly.<\/p>\n

The 76th session of the UN General Assembly (UNGA 76) will open on Tuesday, 14 September 2021. The first day of the high-level General Debate will be Tuesday, 21 September 2021.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
