Africa-Press – South-Sudan. <\/strong><\/span>The Mayor of Juba City Council, Michael Allah Jabu, has committed to working with music icon Emmanuel Jal to seek both foreign and domestic opportunities for urban development and service delivery.<\/p>\n

Emmanuel Jal, an Award-winning Canada-based South Sudanese musician, and peace activist, accompanied by his group, paid a courtesy visit to the mayor on Tuesday evening.<\/p>\n

The artist made the courtesy call visit to familiarise himself with Juba City Council activities and give his support in order to work together to improve the revenue situation, economic viability and create activities for the youths.<\/p>\n

In a press statement, Allah Jabu described the meeting as fruitful.<\/p>\n

The Mayor pledged his commitment to work with the artist by seeking opportunities from abroad or within the country to improve service delivery and urban development, especially the construction of roads.<\/p>\n

Allah Jabu urged the youth to cooperate with City Council Authorities and come up with creative ideas for the benefit of the common citizens in Juba City in terms of Service delivery and urban development.<\/p>\n

Jal on his part called on the youth to cooperate with the Juba City Council and take advantage of the many business opportunities.<\/p>\n

He added that His Worship the Mayor is working on so many developmental plans such as the construction of roads, schools, hospitals, reformatories, drainage systems, sewage systems, and security among others but to implement it all, will require us to increase the revenue or support.<\/p>\n

Jal jetted into the country on Sunday when he made a passionate appeal to the law enforcers to allow him to proceed with his \u2018\u2018We Want Peace Concert\u2019\u2019.<\/p>\n

That was after the former child soldier went live on Facebook to express his displeasure, claiming that \u201csome politicians\u201d had blocked the peace concert merely because of his attachment to the First Vice President, Dr Riek Machar.<\/p>\n
