Africa-Press – South-Sudan. <\/strong><\/span>At least 32,167 South Sudan Certificates of Secondary Education examinations candidates commenced their exams across the country this morning, which will be taken in 107 centers.<\/p>\n

The examination was launched by Vice-President for Service Cluster, Hussein Abdelbagi Akol with a bell ringing at Juba Technical Secondary School this morning in Juba.<\/p>\n

About 32,167 candidates, among them, 21,799 are males and 10,368 are females Students will be writing Chemistry and Commerce papers today. Hussein encouraged the candidates to work hard with faith and integrity in a bid to pass the exams.<\/p>\n

\u201cI would like to appeal to you the candidates of South Sudan Certificate of Secondary Education throughout the country to help us fight examinations malpractices, we don\u2019t need to cheat when taking exams,\u201d Abdelbagi said during the launch of exams in Juba on Wednesday.<\/p>\n

Abdelbagi added that \u201cI want to appeal to candidates to make government and education partners\u2019 efforts count by performing best in their examinations.\u201d<\/p>\n

Emmanuel Adil Anthony, Governor of Central Equatoria State cautioned the candidates against reporting late to the examinations hall to avoid missing exams.<\/p>\n

\u201cOne of the secrets in passing examinations is determinations and managing time and I want to start by being very brief because we must manage our time. If you managed time, you will allocate each of the questions assigned in that particular paper for you not to have a problem,\u201d Anthony said.<\/p>\n

Dr. Kuyok Abol Kuyok, Undersecretary at the Ministry of General Education and Instruction said that \u201cWe wish you a very successful examination, I know it wasn\u2019t an easy year, it was a difficult year but with help of your parents and teachers made it possible for you to be here today.\u201d<\/p>\n

Simon Nyok Deng, Secretary-General of the National Examinations Council said there is no single examinations center that missed out across the country.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe have registered a total of 32,167 candidates nationwide and we have delivered all the examinations consignments to all the police stations across the country where exams have been stored,\u201d Deng said.<\/p>\n

\u201cAll the examinations papers have reached all the corners of the country and we are thankful for the support of our government for availing all the resources needed to facilitate the exams.\u201d<\/p>\n

Deng said they have deployed heavy security across the country to ensure that examinations malpractices and leakages are prevented. \u201cWe have deployed a huge number of national security officers across the nation to ensure that maximize the security of exams and the candidates themselves,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
