Africa-Press – South-Sudan. <\/strong><\/span>A lightning strike killed at least two children and injured two people in Yirol East County of South Sudan’s Lakes State.<\/p>\n

Speaking to Radio Tamazuj on Thursday, Yirol East County Commissioner Manyang Luk Lueth said the unfortunate incident happened in Malek Payam on Tuesday.<\/p>\n

He said the victims were two and three-year-old children.<\/p>\n

“Yes, we have only two survivors of that lightning strike incident,” he added.<\/p>\n

Luk sent his condolences to the victims’ families and said this was a natural accident without any human involvement.<\/p>\n

He adds that a similar strike took killed one person five years ago in the Panhom area of his county.<\/p>\n
