Africa-Press – South-Sudan. <\/strong><\/span>South Sudan\u2019s Vice President for Service Cluster, Hussein Abdelbagi Akol and Presidential Advisor on Security joined the rest of Muslims in South Sudan at Medam Zahraa in Juba to celebrate Eid Al-Adha, marking the end of holy fasting month of Ramadan.<\/p>\n

Eid al-Adha commemorates the story of Muslim Prophet Ibrahim\u2019s test of faith when he was commanded by God to sacrifice his son, Ismail.<\/p>\n

The day is marked with sacrifices of an animal, usually a goat, sheep or cow, and they distributes the meat among neighbors, family members and poor.<\/p>\n

Speaking during Eid Al-Adha ceremony in Juba this morning, Abdelbagi called on the Muslims to put their difference aside and embrace peace.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe call on the Muslims to forget about the differences among themselves and the government of South Sudan is ready to support them,\u201d Abdelbagi said.<\/p>\n

Abdelbagi urged the Muslims to organized end of holy month Ramadan dinner in the state.<\/p>\n

\u201cMuslim should organize Ramadan dinner in the streets and feed the needy with the dinner and they will experience the blessing of Allah,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

Judo Kuol believed that this Eid al-Adha will bring lasting peace and prosperity in South Sudan.<\/p>\n

\u201cI am very happy today (Monday) because it is Eid Al-Adha and I wish Eid al-Adha will bring peace and prosperity in South Sudan and we want our people to stop fighting,\u201d Kuol told Sudans Post this morning.<\/p>\n

Jamal Abukar urged government of Sudan and South Sudan to reopen the border between the two countries to allow free movement of people and their goods.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe two citizens of Sudan and South Sudan wants the borders to be reopened to allow free movement of people and their goods across the borders in order to boost the trade relation between the two sisterly countries,\u201d Jamal said.<\/p>\n
