{"id":16268,"date":"2022-05-07T11:42:23","date_gmt":"2022-05-07T11:42:23","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.africa-press.net\/south-sudan\/all-news\/constitution-amendments-complete-says-nunu"},"modified":"2022-05-07T12:37:09","modified_gmt":"2022-05-07T12:37:09","slug":"constitution-amendments-complete-says-nunu","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.africa-press.net\/south-sudan\/all-news\/constitution-amendments-complete-says-nunu","title":{"rendered":"Constitution amendments complete, says Nunu"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"color: #ff6600\"><strong>Africa-Press &#8211; South-Sudan. <\/strong><\/span>The Speaker of the Reconstituted Transitional National Legislative Assembly (R-TNLA), Jemma Nunu Kumba, yesterday briefed President Salva Kiir Mayardit, about the status of the constitutional amendments which she said had been completed.<\/p>\n<p>According to the statement released by the office of the President, the Speaker briefed the President on the progress of the bills tabled at the Transitional National Legislative Assembly (TNLA).<\/p>\n<p>She noted that all the amendments were completed but the bills on security, the constitution-making process and political parties would be finalised next week.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cRight. Hon. Jemma Nunu Kumba said, all the amendments of the constitution concerning the Revitalised Peace Agreement have been completed,\u201d read the statement from the office of the President.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe bills on security, national constitution-making process and political party are being discussed by the parliament and hopefully they would be finalised next week to facilitate the implementation of the Revitalised Peace Agreement.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><b>Bill tabled<\/b><\/p>\n<p>In April, the Minister for Justice and Constitutional Affairs, Ruben Madol Arol presented the bill for the permanent constitution-making process, 2022 to the Transitional National Legislative Assembly for deliberations.<\/p>\n<p>The bill will be a furrow towards the process of the permanent constitution-making as it comprised four chapters according to article 6.9.<\/p>\n<p><strong>For More News And Analysis About <a href=\"https:\/\/www.africa-press.net\/south-sudan\">South-Sudan<\/a> Follow <a href=\"https:\/\/www.africa-press.net\/\">Africa-Press<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Africa-Press &#8211; South-Sudan.
