Africa-Press – South-Sudan. <\/strong><\/span>The Northern Bahr el Ghazal State minister of labor and public service last Friday resigned his position and said he did not have any problem with state and national governments.<\/p>\n

Charles Chan Anguei who was appointed to office by President Salva Kiir on 22 February 2021 told Radio Tamazuj Monday that he quit for personal reasons because he intends to pursue postgraduate studies.<\/p>\n

\u201cI already informed the governor that I wanted to be out of the government because I want to go and attend to my personal matters which include studying for a master\u2019s degree,\u201d Chan said. \u201cSo, we have been discussing it and he (governor) is aware of it, there is no problem and I just left the government in good faith. I do not have any problem with the governor or government.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cMy message to the person who will replace me is to ensure that he works in collaboration with the governor, cabinet, and the people of Northern Bahr el Ghazal to ensure that the public services are effectively delivered to the people,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n

The state information and communication minister, William Anyuon Kuol, said the government and SPLM party will nominate a successor to replace the outgoing minister.<\/p>\n

\u201cYes, the minister of labor has resigned. When somebody quits a job, automatically he needs to be replaced so the government of Northern Bahr el Ghazal led by Tong Akeen will appoint another person to the place of the outgoing minister,\u201d Minister Anyoun said. \u201cThe process is that the party recommends another person and the name will be taken to the president for appointment.\u201d<\/p>\n
