Africa-Press – South-Sudan. <\/strong><\/span>The Governor of Central Equatoria State, Emmanuel Adil Anthony, is appealing to South Sudan People\u2019s Defense Forces (SSPDF) in Mogiri to ensure that cattle keepers from Jonglei return safely back to their homes.<\/p>\n

Adil said in a statement that there is need for \u201cunity of common purpose\u201d in the evacuation process that was ordered by President Salva Kiir Mayardit a few days ago.<\/p>\n

\u201cGovernor Emmanuel called for unity of common purpose among the forces as they embark on this noble call of facilitating the peaceful passage of the herders to Bor following the sustained government\u2019s efforts as championed by President Kiir,\u201d read the statement from the office of the governor.<\/p>\n

The commissioner of Juba County, Charles Joseph Wani, told the locals to cooperate with law enforcement agencies in the process of evacuation.<\/p>\n

Herders set terms<\/b><\/p>\n

The herders agreed that they would evacuate their cattle but under some tough condition. One of the conditions, the herders, said, was that the government would facilitate and foot the bill of transporting the animals on trucks.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe cattle keepers said cattle are not like human beings to be told to move now.\u201d They said they would not flinch unless they got the trucks to move the animal. They said if they could be provided with trucks, they could evacuate cattle within a very short time, \u201cAliandro said.\u201d<\/p>\n

Aliandro noted that South Sudanese should drop their differences and live in peace, and harmony among themselves.<\/p>\n
