Africa-Press – South-Sudan. <\/strong><\/span>Harriet Jumi is the new president of the newly chartered Rotary Club \u2013 Juba Airport.<\/p>\n

She was installed on Saturday, June 25, and will serve until June 2023.<\/p>\n

Speaking during the installation ceremony, Boro Joseph Nagib, the former president of the Rotary Club, advised Jumi to work hard to fulfil the dreams of the club.<\/p>\n

He stressed that the new organization must embrace its offering to fulfill its objective of serving humanity.<\/p>\n

\u201cYou face a formidable challenge. The club is pointless if you do not do a better thing to change someone\u2019s life. The club will be useful when you change the lives of communities,\u201d Nagib said.<\/p>\n

The club\u2019s collaboration, according to Rotarian Nagib, is entirely funded by voluntarily made donations from Rotary members and friends of the foundation.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, Emmanuel Ecodo, the Rotary Country Chair, South Sudan encouraged the new chartered club members to embrace voluntarism to serve humanity through contributions to the Rotary Foundation.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe came to see how we can improve our communities while also giving of our time and resources,\u2019\u2019 he said.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt might be for water, some areas needing schools, some needing agriculture, and the club supports them by empowering them, that is exactly what you need to do to succeed,\u201d the country chair stated.<\/p>\n

Jumi said she and her fellow members will put a lot of effort to provide the greatest services to those in need.<\/p>\n

\u201cI have come here to aid those who need such support because I accepted to be a Rotarian, and I am here to create change in my community,\u2019\u2019 she said.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe can better assist our people by creating a second club. Of course, Rotary is primarily about giving back to and serving communities. As a result, cooperation is the only way we can improve the way people live in our nation.\u201d<\/p>\n

She expressed her willingness to collaborate with the other members to provide excellent service to the nation.<\/p>\n

According to him, Rotary clubs are branches of the Rotary global network of 1.2 million neighbours, friends, leaders, and problem-solvers who see a world where people unite and take action to create lasting change across the globe, in our communities, and in ourselves.<\/p>\n
