Africa-Press – South-Sudan. <\/strong><\/span>The Confederation of African Football (CAF) president, Patrice Motsepe is set to visit South Sudan next week.<\/p>\n

A delegation of the South African business mogul is expected in Juba on Tuesday, July 12, the local FA has confirmed.<\/p>\n

The spokesperson for South Sudan Football Association (SSFA) \u2013 Albino Kuek, however, did not divulge more details about Motsepe\u2019s planned visit though City Review understands that infrastructure will be at the top of his agenda.<\/p>\n

The visit was initially set for last April but was deferred by two months for unknown reasons.<\/p>\n

In February, Augustino Maduot Parek, the SSFA boss met with both Mutsepe and FIFA president Gianni Infantino in Abu Dhabi.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe discussed vital areas of football development in South Sudan including the progress of Juba National Football Stadium with the FIFA President who has shown concern to support the development of football in the country,\u201d Parek said in February.<\/p>\n

Motsepe who is also the owner of the South African Premier League giants, Mamelodi Sundowns, is expected to visit the stalled Juba National Stadium and possibly give a way forward.<\/p>\n

Motsepe had promised to tour all the 54 CAF Members Associations when he assumed office in 2021.<\/p>\n

South Sudan will become the third CECAFA member country after Rwanda and Tanzania to be visited by the CAF president since his election last year.<\/p>\n
