Africa-Press – South-Sudan. <\/strong><\/span>The Turkish ambassador to South Sudan, Erdem Mutaf, has revealed that Ankara is planning to establish the first international Turkish school as well as build factories in Juba.<\/p>\n

The diplomat was addressing the media in Juba yesterday, where he had hosted the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Amb. Mayen Dut Wol, and Turkish officers working in the United Nations mission (UNPOL) in the country, as well as businessmen.<\/p>\n

Amb Mutaf said that the Turkish government is working with South Sudan to pursue development in various spheres, including inclusive education. Besides this, there is the donation of military uniforms as the country prepares for the graduation of forces.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe signed a memorandum of understanding with the Ministry of Defence of South Sudan through undersecretary, and the Minister of Defence of Turkey will sign it later to donate the South Sudan Defence forces 270,000 military uniforms plus other military supplies.\u201d<\/p>\n

Amb Dut said appreciated the support from the Turkish government adding that Ankara administration is one of the first countries that recognised the country\u2019s independence from Sudan.<\/p>\n

\u2018\u2018This year we are celebrating 11 years of our relationship with Turkey, and the government of Turkey has contributed to helping the country implement the revitalised peace agreement through the in-kind support it provided to the security units in the unified forces training areas\u201d.<\/p>\n
