Africa-Press – South-Sudan. <\/strong><\/span>The Governor of Central Equatoria State, Emmanuel Adil Anthony, has pledged support for the country\u2019s literature through the ministry of general education and instruction.<\/p>\n

Adil made this promise when he met the American-based writer, Rt Capt. Nyajuok Tongjik Doluony. He said such would allow writers like Doluony to use the skills and inspire other upcoming generations and support the country\u2019s education.<\/p>\n

He met the writer on Friday in his office.<\/p>\n

The writer promised the governor that she would remain steadfast in the course and be one of the pillars of the country\u2019s literature.<\/p>\n

\u201cGovernor Adil wholeheartedly registered his heartfelt acknowledgements to the author and assured her of his administration\u2019s efforts through the State Ministry of General Education and Instructions to support impactful contents that would equally instil good morals to the future generations to advance their aspirations,\u201d the statement from the governor\u2019s office read in part.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe meeting focused on how her authorial engagements on numerous disciplines can positively impact the future generations across the globe with immediate attention to South Sudan-Juba considering many case studies.\u201d<\/p>\n

The author who previously served in the American army promised to support the country\u2019s literature through her various publications, which she said were mostly on rich South Sudanese cultural heritage.<\/p>\n

She is also an inspirational speaker, financial consultant, and feminist. One of her widely circulated books is \u201cI am my mother\u2019s wildest dream.\u201d<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, governor Adil urged the Muslim community to support peaceful coexistence as they celebrate Eid Al-Adha.<\/p>\n

Eid Al-Adha is marked as a festival where sacrifices are given to God (Allah) celebrating Ibrahim\u2019s obedience to Allah after God asked him to sacrifice his only son Ishaq.<\/p>\n

\u201cAs Muslim faithful across the country embark on this solemn festival of sacrifice(Eid Al-Adha) and particularly in Central Equatoria State, Governor Emmanuel Adil Anthony has urged the faithful to embrace peace and rally behind the implementation of the Revitalised Peace Agreement,\u201d Adil said.<\/p>\n

The governor asked Muslims to render their support to President Salva Kiir for peace, security and development across the state.<\/p>\n

Adil appreciated Muslims for their tireless support of the peace process in Central Equatoria State which resulted in unity.<\/p>\n

Also, Governor Adil acknowledged the pivotal role the Islamic faith and cultural set-ups play in shaping the distinctive character of the State into a harmonious society.<\/p>\n

Adil was addressing the Muslim leaders at the state secretariat on Friday.<\/p>\n
