Africa-Press<\/a> – South-Sudan<\/a>. <\/strong><\/span>South Sudan\u2019s Minister of Cabinet Affairs Martin Elia Lomuro has threatened to take the United States government and those he termed as social media \u2018terrorists\u2019 to court after a Kenyan court issued a ruling in which his frozen Kenyan accounts were restored after months-long court battle.<\/p>\n

Last June, the Kenya Asset Recovery Agency was ordered by the country\u2019s high court to ban Mr. Lomuro from accessing his account at Cooperative Bank of Kenya on allegations that he was involved in money laundering. Almost half a million dollars were frozen in what Lomuro termed as hostile acts from the United States.<\/p>\n

Speaking after winning the court case, Lomuro threatened to take the United States, as well as social media activists, to unidentified international court for tarnishing his image before his community.<\/p>\n

\u201cI will take the US to the international court of law and no one should threaten me. I know who I am nobody has some riffraff\u2019s around threatening me no. I have community and I can\u2019t be ashamed in front of [them],\u201d Lomuro said, according to City Review.<\/p>\n

\u201cMy community has a history of liberation and there is no history in the Pugulu community where a leader has been accused of theft. I am the chairman of the community and I must maintain that standard and I will take on anybody including the US believe me,\u201d he stressed.<\/p>\n

The South Sudanese senior government official said he was confident from the onset that he will win the court case because he believe he was innocent against the charges brought forth by the Kenyan court, threatening to take social media activists to court.<\/p>\n

\u201cAnd those cybercriminals and social media terrorists should consult the law\u2026if you publicize my name for political gains, you should know that I will be hereafter you. For my political foes, cybercriminals, and social media terrorists who celebrated the ARA allegations against me, update your records that I have nothing to do with money laundering, corruption, and financial criminal or otherwise\u201d he warned.<\/p>\n
