Africa-Press – South-Sudan. <\/strong><\/span>The over 52, 000 police trainees from 17 camps have been ordered to report to their respective training centres within 72 hours in readiness for the upcoming graduation of Necessary Unified Forces later this month.<\/p>\n

The government has set August 30 as the date for the graduation of unified forces.<\/p>\n

The Inspector-General of Police, Majak Akech Malok, on Thursday, August 12 directed Assistant Inspector General for administration and finance, Lt Gen Abraham Manyuat Peter to ensure that the trainees report to their respective bases by Friday.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe inspector General, National Police Service hereby directs your administration to direct all police officers and NCOs and other ranks, across Police Spectra, to report to all Unified Forces Training Centres across South Sudan for graduation within seventy-two hours [from August 12],\u201d the statement reads.<\/p>\n

He warned of the dire consequences of turning down the order.<\/p>\n

\u201cWhoever defies this standing will be considered a deserter within national police service\u2019s ranks and files,\u201d the IGP warned.<\/p>\n

He noted that the order was for those police officers who were in the training centres previously.<\/p>\n

According to the document, the order has come in compliance with the meeting of the presidency with the head of security intelligence agencies (HSIA).<\/p>\n

\u201cReference to the above-mentioned subject thereof and without preempting the just concluded meeting by the presidency and Head of Security Intelligence Agencies (HSIA),\u201d he added.<\/p>\n

Yesterday, the Minister for Cabinet Affairs, Martin Elia Lomuro told the press that the planned graduation of Unified forces comprising of army, police, wildlife, prisons, civil defence and national security was slated for August 30, 2022.<\/p>\n

\u201cOut of the 52,102 forces that are to be graduated, the South Sudan National Police Service and the Army get 37,762 shares of the necessary unified forces,\u201d Dr Elia stated.<\/p>\n

He added that the VIP Protection forces would be 3500, the army with 17, 376 the South Sudan National Police Service (SSNPS) with 20,386, National Security Service with 8,300 and the prison service, wildlife service and civil defence with 2,440 forces.<\/p>\n
