Africa-Press – South-Sudan. <\/strong><\/span>South Sudan\u2019s Minister of Defense and Veteran Affairs, Hon. Angelina Teny, condemns the filmed extra-judicial killing in Mayom County of Unity state and said such orders were not authorized by the top military leadership in the country.<\/p>\n

Last week the Governor of Unity State, Dr. Joseph Manytuil, ordered the execution of four prisoners of war, three were killed on firing squad and one identified as Gatluak Majiok was tied up and burned in side a tukul.<\/p>\n

In a statement seen by Nyamilepdia, Angelina Teny ,the Minister of Defence and Veteran Affairs, during her meeting with president Salva Kiir, condemned the incident in Mayom and described it as \u201cinjustice and unacceptable\u201d while denying that perpetrators responsible for such barbaric act did not get their directive from South Sudan People\u2019s Defense Forces (SSPDF).<\/p>\n

Hon. Teny further explained that this is a Country that has laws and rules, and said no legal process was followed.<\/p>\n

Teny also revealed that consultation among senior commanders is ongoing to make sure that Investigation Committee is formed to look into the circumstances under which such an act of terror occurred.<\/p>\n
