Africa-Press<\/a> – South-Sudan<\/a>. <\/strong><\/span>A senior opposition commander loyal to the First Vice President, Dr. Riek Machar Teny, Maj. Gen. John Wiyual Duach has denied allegations that he defected to Kitgwang under the former SPLA-IO Chief of General Staff, Gen. Simon Gatwech Dual.Gen. Wiyual, a Deputy Commander of Buoth military barrack in Upper Nile State, said he was accused of having an intention to join Kitgwang Declaration under Gen. Gatwech following his recent sojourn to Sudanese capital, Khartoum which he said was meant for medical reasons.<\/p>\n

Speaking to Nyamilepedia from Khartoum,Cde. Tut Nen, a senior member of SPLM-IO said all information purporting to the defection of Gen. John Wiyual are propagandas designed by his detractors to tarnish his military reputation in the movement, arguing that any accusation without evidence shouldn\u2019t be treated seriously.<\/p>\n

\u201cThey accused him but he died that as propaganda\u201d, Cde. Nen told Nyamilepedia from Khartoum, Sudan.<\/p>\n

In a statement extended to Nyamilepedia, Gen. Wiyual says his travel to Khartoum shouldn\u2019t be misunderstood because he went there for treatment which was approved by his senior officers.<\/p>\n

\u201cIn the beginning I am here in Khartoum for treatment nothing else more than that and I have departure letter from my respectively area and the Leadership Accordingly to the Military system\u201d, Gen. Wiyual said in a statement.<\/p>\n

\u201cIn the Several time I, received the floating rumors against Me from some individuals they claiming that I defect to Kitgwang declaration Group\u201d,he added.<\/p>\n

He advised the public, and especially the SPLM\/A-IO members, to disregard all rumors as lies.<\/p>\n

\u201cDon\u2019t listen the PROPAGANDA when you know the truth , they will not benefit on using my name and by the way no reasons being Military to turn down the own long stories and objective for unfit Kitgwang group put in your attention and mark words nothing like that \u201che stressed.<\/p>\n

The senior opposition commander said he is for peaceful implementation of the agreement which is being implemented now with the government by FVP Dr. Riek Machar Teny.<\/p>\n
