Africa-Press – South-Sudan. <\/strong><\/span>South Sudan government on Friday received a consignment of military equipment for the graduation of the necessary unified forces provided for in the revitalized peace agreement, according to the army spokesman Maj. Gen. Lul Ruai Koang.<\/p>\n

South Sudan is set to graduate at least 53,000 of 83,000 unified forces on August 30. The government has invited several heads of states to witness the game-changer in the country\u2019s security sector that has been accused by international human rights groups of abuses.<\/p>\n

According to the army spokesman, the shipment carrying the equipment arrived by air from the Sudanese capital Khartoum specifically with uniforms, boots, socks and belts which he said will be delivered to training centers in Gorom, Rajaf, Rambur and Lologo.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt was actually received this morning at juba International Air Port, very good consignment, very important one that we have been working for. The Uniforms is brought according to parade at the respective training centers. Here they will start with the Forces in the greater equatorial, Special Forces in and around Juda,\u201d the army spokesman is quoted by Eye Radio as saying.<\/p>\n

The senior army officer further said that \u201cAs soon as they are graduated, the next step is for them to be redeployed and ABB has come up with a redeployment plan for the Force that would have been graduated.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cMost part of the country [is] having insecurity. So the deployment will be done based on that. Areas that are having a lot of insecurity this is where our force are going to be directed to so they stabilize the security situation,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n
