Africa-Press – South-Sudan. <\/strong><\/span>Two soldiers destined to pass out as Unified Forces died in a motorcycle accident in Wau\u2019s Bessilia Pyam while returning to Mapel Training Center from Raja County in Western Bahr el Ghazal State on Sunday.<\/p>\n

The Wau County commissioner, George Wejok Tunga, told Radio Tamazuj that the two soldiers died on the spot after they collided with a motorized tricycle and attributed the accident to speeding.<\/p>\n

The deceased soldiers were identified as Rakula Yousif Mohamed and Kamailio John Adam; both are said to be in their mid-thirties.<\/p>\n

“They were rushing for the ongoing graduation verification at the training centre, but unfortunately, they got involved in an accident in which they both died on spot,\u201d Tunga said. \u201cWhat the county did is that we called the traffic police to start preliminary investigations and also open a case such that the law takes its course.”<\/p>\n

“These two people were coming from Raja on a Senke motorcycle and collided with a tricycle from Wau, and they were all speeding,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n

The commissioner urged the public to drive and ride with care during the rains and urged the traffic police to enhance road safety.<\/p>\n

\u201cI am calling on our colleague, the commissioner of the police, to release the vehicle of the county police department to help in the county,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

The first batch of the Necessary Unified Forces is scheduled to graduate today.<\/p>\n

The 2018 revitalized peace deal expects the unity government to graduate 83,000 unified forces drawn from the various parties to take charge of security during the ongoing transitional period.<\/p>\n

The parties had made arrangements to graduate the first batch of 53,000 forces.<\/p>\n
