Africa-Press – South-Sudan. <\/strong><\/span>The National Examination Council has released results for the 2021\/2022 Secondary School Examination as Jonglei State dominates the top ten by seven students.<\/p>\n

32,437 students sat for the exams at 340 schools across the country. The number of candidates dropped by 5.9% compared to the previous academic year 2020\/2021.<\/p>\n

Among the candidates, 21,128 were males and 11,309 females.<\/p>\n

Jonglei State and Central Equatoria State become the best performing states, with 76.48 and 74.93 percent respectively.<\/p>\n

Also among the top five best performing states are Eastern Equatoria State, Lakes State and Unity State.<\/p>\n

The top 10 students were all from private schools in Jonglei State and Central Equatoria State.<\/p>\n

Yuang Jacob Gaar Yuang from Juba High School (Bor branch), is the country\u2019s best performing student with an average score of 94.1%.<\/p>\n

Below is the list of top 10 best performing students from across the country.<\/p>\n

1. Yuang Jacob Gaar Yuang \u2013 M \u2013 Juba High School, Bor Compass \u2013 Jonglei 94.1%<\/p>\n

2. Charles Atek Peter Mawien \u2013 M \u2013 Promised College SS \u2013 WBGs \u2013 93.9%.<\/p>\n

3. William Maker Lueth Kuckon \u2013 M \u2013 Fangak SS \u2013 Jonglei \u2013 93.7%.<\/p>\n

4. Bior Madol Khom Bior \u2013 M \u2013 Greenbelt Academy \u2013 Jonglei \u2013 93.4%.<\/p>\n

5. Lemi Emmanuel Elhag Wani \u2013 M \u2013 Juba Seven Day Adventist \u2013 CES \u2013 93.4%.<\/p>\n

6. Lual Malaak Lual Nhial \u2013 M \u2013 Merryland Academy \u2013 Jonglei \u2013 93.3%.<\/p>\n

7. Atong Ngang Mach Mayen \u2013 F \u2013 Fulla SS \u2013 EES \u2013 93.1%.<\/p>\n

8. Makeer Simon Duot Garang \u2013 M \u2013 Bor College \u2013 Jonglei \u2013 93.0%.<\/p>\n

9. Kuol Abuk Kuol Mariar \u2013 M \u2013 Merryland Academy \u2013 Jonglei 92.9%.<\/p>\n

10. Anyieth Panchol Anyieth Mayom \u2013 Juba High School Bor Compass \u2013 Jonglei \u2013 92.7%.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, the 10th position has been contended by three other candidates who scored the 92.7%.<\/p>\n

They are Monica Aeru Malaak Lual (Jonglei), Bronicah Nyewech Thingu (CES) and Sabiri Gudu Babangida Ibrahim (CES).<\/p>\n

According to the examination results analysis, science subjects were the worst performed, while additional mathematics saw an improvement.<\/p>\n

\u201cTo address these challenges, the Ministry will have to embark on offering training of Science subjects,\u201d said Minister Awut Deng Achuil in a statement.<\/p>\n
