Africa-Press – South-Sudan. <\/strong><\/span>The government of Central Equatoria State has reinforced its fight against criminal gangs in Juba City Council and Yei River County.<\/p>\n This came after the state\u2019s security committee chaired by Governor Emmanuel Adil Anthony, convened its ordinary sitting to review growing rates of crimes including kidnapping.<\/p>\n The state minister for peacebuilding, Francis Gerald announced the committee\u2019s resolution directing law enforcement agencies in Juba City Council and Yei River County to apply the law to tame criminal gangs.<\/p>\n \u201c[The committee] directs law enforcement agencies in Juba city council and Yei River County to drastically deal with the criminal gangs with the full force of the law.,\u201d the statement from the office of the government read.<\/p>\n The committee urged the public to cooperate with law enforcement agencies and report insecurity issues and directed the Juba City Council to handle land-grabbing issues within Juba and its suburbs.<\/p>\n \u201cReviews on the General security situation across the State as relatively calm and peaceful and urged the general public to be vigilant and report to the law enforcement agencies on any arising security situation.
