Africa-Press – South-Sudan. <\/strong><\/span>Aweil\u2019s Tiger United Women\u2019s Football Club thrashed Hai Toch FC to seal the Northern Bahr el Ghazal State girls\u2019 peace competition in Aweil.<\/p>\n Thousands of Hai Toch fans were dismayed by the game\u2019s outcome, which saw the Tiger Ladies win 3-1.<\/p>\n The competition was intended to promote peace as both teams and spectators joined the winners to close the peace celebration.<\/p>\n The Northern Bahr El Ghazal State Minister of Youth, Culture, and Sports, Bol Akuar Gamar, noted in a statement shortly after the game Thursday that sports activities have naturally brought together young people who share passion and experience.<\/p>\n According to him, there may be a distinct relationship between them and their parents\u2019 teachers at school, community elders, and religious leaders, but the event has opened the door for a different kind of conversation.<\/p>\n \u201cIn some communities, girls and women may be reluctant to join in or forbidden from participating in conventional sporting activities. Hence, empowering girls and women is extremely vital.
