Africa-Press – South-Sudan. <\/strong><\/span>Governor Tong Akeen Ngor has offered job opportunities to students who recently graduated from various universities in Cairo, Egypt.<\/p>\n Northern Bahr El Ghazal State<\/p>\n The governor made his promise during a meeting convened by Aweil Community leaders in the Arab Republic of Egypt, calling on them to return home to contribute to the development of the state.<\/p>\n \u201cAt the same time, he urged those students who have finished their studies to go back home as he assured them job opportunities to support their families in different sectors,\u2019\u2019 the statement issued by the office of the governor read.<\/p>\n Ngor went on to say that the state government was committed to hiring qualified teachers in order to improve student performance in the state and that the University of Northern Bahr Ghazal would open this year.<\/p>\n He urged students to present their grievances duly to South Sudanese Embassy in Cairo, Egypt.<\/p>\n The Aweil community in Egypt let an outcry over the dropping out of Aweil students from the universities in Cairo as well as the lack of space for a community house to facilitate their activities.<\/p>\n They further expressed solidarity with the flood-affected population in the state, estimated at over 80 per cent.<\/p>\n On Wednesday, the governor left for Egypt upon an invitation from Aweil community students in Egypt set to graduate from various Egyptian universities.<\/p>\n Governor Ngor updated the South Sudanese Ambassador to the Arab Republic of Egypt, Joseph Moum, about the floods that had devastated livelihoods in Northern Bahr El Ghazal State, promising that the government was making concerted efforts to address it.<\/p>\n He urged the Ambassador to entice Egyptian investors into Northern Bahr El Ghazal State to invest in agriculture and education.
