Africa-Press – South-Sudan. <\/strong><\/span>The government of Northern Bahr El Ghazal State has distanced itself from the letter written by RRC and youth, calling for the relocation of World Vision and the UN food agency, FAO from Aweil town.<\/p>\n

This came after the director general in the state ministry of agriculture accused some aid workers of involving the elections of the state youth union.<\/p>\n

The matter prompted the director general to write to the respective NGOs to discipline the workers for involving in politics.<\/p>\n

But the letter angered the youth who decided to write to the humanitarian organizations to relocate their staff and head offices for fear of their safety.<\/p>\n

William Anyuon, the state minister of information and communication told Eye Radio on Wednesday that his government intervened to provide security for the NGOs and their staff operating in the area.<\/p>\n

Anyuon said the letters written by the Relief and Rehabilitation Commission and the youth are unilateral decisions and do not represent the voice of the government.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe responded yesterday [Wednesday], and we guaranteed the security of all humanitarian agencies,\u201d said Anyuon.<\/p>\n

\u201cAll the partners, national and international NGOs that are operating in Northern Bahr El Ghazal that their security is under control by the government not by the individual to question their security in the state,<\/p>\n

\u201cWe condemned that, and we treated that statement that was written by RRC Commission and the youth as individual decision\u201d.<\/p>\n
