{"id":29064,"date":"2022-12-16T15:55:23","date_gmt":"2022-12-16T15:55:23","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.africa-press.net\/south-sudan\/all-news\/juba-pieri-plane-crash-case-adjourned-yet-again"},"modified":"2022-12-16T16:20:29","modified_gmt":"2022-12-16T16:20:29","slug":"juba-pieri-plane-crash-case-adjourned-yet-again","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.africa-press.net\/south-sudan\/all-news\/juba-pieri-plane-crash-case-adjourned-yet-again","title":{"rendered":"Juba: Pieri plane crash case adjourned yet again"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"color: #ff6600\"><strong>Africa-Press &#8211; South-Sudan. <\/strong><\/span>The Malakia High Court in Juba has postponed the hearing of the case for compensation of families of the Pieri plane crash for January 2023.<\/p>\n<p>The families have been in court for more than a year demanding compensation after their kins perished in a deadly plane crash at the Pieri Airstrip in Uror County of Jonglei state.<\/p>\n<p>The aircraft registered HK-4274 belonging to South Supreme Airline crashed shortly after takeoff killing 10 people aboard, including two crew members, in March last year.<\/p>\n<p>During the hearing on Friday, the defense team requested the court to grant them more time to present the final submission for the court to make a decision which the court accepted.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe were preparing to present the final submission, but the defense lawyer alleged that he was not ready, so he requested the hearing to be adjourned.
