Africa-Press – South-Sudan. <\/strong><\/span>President Salva Kiir on Friday night fired the head of the government-owned Nile Petroleum Company (Nilpet), which oversees the South Sudan oil industry.<\/p>\n

In his decree, Kiir did not explain the reason for the sacking of the Managing Director of Nilepet, Dr. Chol Deng Abel.<\/p>\n

In another decree, President Kiir appointed Bernard Amuor Makeny as the new Managing Director of Nilepet, replacing Dr. Chol.<\/p>\n

The new Managing Director of Nilepet, Bernard Makeny, holds a Masters\u2019s Degree in Oil and Gas Management from the University of Liverpool, UK.<\/p>\n
