This comes after Gen. Gai is appointed as the National Chairperson of Humanitarian Affairs and Disaster Management in the movement. In a statement extended to Nyamilepedia, Chairman of SSPM\/A Gen. Stephen Buay Rolnyang promotes Brig. Gen. James Maker Gai to senior rank of Major General in the files and ranks of the South Sudan People\u2019s Army.<\/p>\n

\u201cIn exercise of the authority vested in me under article 52 (2) of the constitution of the South Sudan People\u2019s Movement 2021 and SSPA Act article 12 (2), 2021, I, General Stephen Buay Rolnyang, Chairman and Commander-In-Chief of SSPM\/A, do hereby promote Brig. Gen. James Maker Gai to the rank of Major General in the SSPA with effect from the date of above shield one (1) and his seniority falls after Major General Peter Dak Jock on SSPA above Shield one (1) officers list\u201d, Gen.
