Africa-Press – South-Sudan. <\/strong><\/span>Juba Local Football Association (JLFA) first division giants Kator Football Club have signed ex-Bright Stars head coach Ramzi Sebit, a week after parting ways with Rezik Hakim.<\/p>\n

The Lubras\u2019 management released Hakim despite the team sitting atop the Juba Local Football Association First Division League. No reasons were attached to his departure.<\/p>\n

The 50-year-old former Bright U-20 head coach was acquired for an undisclosed fee from AL-Rabita FC, Juba. Sebit was signed alongside Mubarak Abdlrazig as the team\u2019s assistant coach.<\/p>\n

They both agreed to a six-month contract with Lubras, with the understanding that an extension was possible, but only with effort.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe have lost the successes of those days, and despite being one of the clubs in the history of Juba Local\u2019s league, we have never been the same,\u201d the clubs\u2019 chairman, Christopher Ladu, remarked during the signing ceremony in Juba.<\/p>\n

The chairman added, \u201cWe are unable to win the league cup for long; we always lose in finals, and we need to go back to our glory days of winning; that is what we are trying to address.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cSo, you are here to get Kator where it belongs, and we will work with you,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

Sebit committed to putting a lot of effort into helping the team reach its objectives.<\/p>\n

\u201cBeing part of such a wonderful club would always be the goal of any coach; I am glad to be in this family,\u201d he said after signing his six-month contract.<\/p>\n

\u201cKony-Konyo League is not new to me; I have been there since, and I know Kator better. \u201cThe team is outstanding in the league\u2019s history; the only thing we need to do is work and fix the team in its place,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n

He is one of the most decorated coaches in the history of the South Sudan league, especially in the Juba Local Football Association (JLFA).<\/p>\n

His extensive league experience and track record would be fantastic for teams like Kator, who have been unable to win the league cup for more than five years.<\/p>\n

Brief background on Ramzi Sebit<\/b><\/p>\n

Sebit is a South Sudanese professional coach with a CAF C licence and FIFA\u2019s certificate in coaching.<\/p>\n

He is 50 years old, and at his age, he coaches over eight clubs in South Sudan, including the national team. Between 2007 and 2009, he served as the head coach of Malakia FC in Juba, and between 2010 and 2012, he led Al Hilal FC to the Juba League Cup victory.<\/p>\n

He won the South Sudan Cup in 2012 and 2013 while playing for Nasir FC in Juba, and he also represented South Sudan at the Confederations Cup.<\/p>\n

Just after a year, he joined Atlabara FC Juba in 2013\/2014, winning the South Sudan Cup and regional competitions with the team.<\/p>\n

He took the country to its first-ever African Championship. He returned to Malakia FC in Juba right away in 2014, setting a new record by winning six trophies in 2014\u20132016.<\/p>\n

He won the Mayor\u2019s Cup, the MTN Cup, the Konyo-Konyo league cup, the South Sudan regional cup, and the Juba local league cup.<\/p>\n

After setting that record, Sebit moved to Al Salam FC, Wau, where he won the South Sudan National Cup and Wau\u2019s local football cup. He then led the squad to represent the nation in the 2019 Confederations Championship in Rwanda.<\/p>\n

In 2019\u20132020, he also guided Juba-based Amarat United to its first South Sudan Regional Cup victory and the Confederations Cup.<\/p>\n

In 2018, he also served as the South Sudan Senior National Team\u2019s coach. From 2020 to 2021, he served as the Bright Stars U20 Team\u2019s head coach.<\/p>\n
