Africa-Press – South-Sudan. <\/strong><\/span> <\/b> The Episcopal Church of South Sudan has formed a committee to embark on a mission to preach peace across the country.<\/p>\n

Episcopal Mediation Advisory Team comprises the bishops from Northern Bahr el Ghazal, Jonglei, Western Equatoria, elderly men and women, and young people.<\/p>\n

The committee was formed with aim to civil education, preach Christian discipleship and values as well as build peace and reconciliation across the country.<\/p>\n

Dr. Justin Badi Arama, Archbishop and Primate of the Episcopal Church of South Sudan, said the committee was established to urge feuding communities to reconcile.<\/p>\n

\u201cAs an initiative, the church came out with forming a committee that we named an Episcopal Mediation Advisory Team that can move around and educate people to know that they are children of God created in the image of God,\u201d Dr. Justin said during the welcoming of Archbishop of Canterbury, Dr. Justin Welby during Sunday services at All Saints Anglican Cathedral in Juba.<\/p>\n

Dr. Justin said the committee will preach the gospel of peace, love, and unity among the South Sudanese faithful.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe have to learn to live together, and we learn to forgive and reconciled,\u201d said Archbishop.<\/p>\n

\u201cSouth Sudan is a nation God has given to us and we are the tribe that has been created to leave here and nobody is going anywhere.\u201d<\/p>\n

Before embarking on a peace mission, they were bishop by the Archbishop of Canterbury, Dr. Justin Welby, according to Archbishop Justin Badi.<\/p>\n

\u201cYou (referring to Archbishop of Canterbury) need to pray for them and to send them to go on civil education, Christian discipleship to understand Christian values and also to reconcile and to build peace.\u201d<\/p>\n
