Africa-Press – South-Sudan. <\/strong><\/span>Shilene Booysen has parted ways with South Sudan Football Federation \u2013SSFA.<\/p>\n

\u200b\u200bThe South African tactician left her job as the head of the senior women\u2019s national team coach after her contract ran out.<\/p>\n

\u201cI came to a country I had never thought about before. I came in to change the lives of many girls and women, but what happened was that I was changed forever,\u201d the coach said on her Facebook page.<\/p>\n

The South African engineer cum football manager was appointed in February 2021 by former SSFA president Francis Amin. She was on a two-year- contract.<\/p>\n

\u201cAs a coach, you have to say goodbye at some point, and I want to say that I am sure I will see many of you again. In different roles, in different countries, and I am confident you will shine like you usually do.<\/p>\n

\u201cFootball will never be the same for me. I will always remember the challenges we fought together, the struggles we had to overcome, but mostly the development, growth, laughs, and friendships,\u201d she added.<\/p>\n

The coach left the country today for South Africa.<\/p>\n

\u201cMy contract expired, and I would have been informed what to do next.<\/p>\n

I didn\u2019t receive any information from the federation. I\u2019m actually leaving today; I\u2019m busy right now, and my bags are already at the airport,\u201d she told City Sport on her way to South Africa Thursday evening.<\/p>\n

Booysen, however, stated that she would be open to discussing a new contract should SSFA require her to continue with the squad.<\/p>\n
