Mathok&#8217;s death is a great loss to the entire nation.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt is a great loss to the people of Warrap State and South Sudan in general because General Mathok Gengdit was a hard-working general and politician and a patriotic leader who actually put some impact in the government of Warrap state when he was a caretaker governor of Warrap,\u201d said Wol.<\/p>\n<p>Moreover, the national assembly&#8217;s Standing Specialised Committee on Defence and Veteran Affairs released a statement confirming the death of Mathok, a member of the committee.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;The committee has lost a patriotic icon of nationalism, an energetic member of parliament, and above all, a liberator of the South Sudanese people and their land,&#8221; the statement reads.<\/p>\n<p>The committee, through its chairperson Rev.
