Africa-Press – South-Sudan. <\/strong><\/span>Torit Health Hospital has received eight boxes of bed sheets and other assorted medical equipment, at a time when the facility is still trying to pick itself up after one of its key donors pulled out.<\/p>\n

The hospital also received wheelchairs, among others as part of the donation from a local Christian organization.<\/p>\n

The state hospital has been in a crisis of medical supplies since the Health Pool Fund withdrew its support for South Sudan\u2019s healthcare last year.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe are so grateful to be here in Torit, with the supplies that we brought. So, we are so grateful that these supplies can be a blessing and help many people in this state,\u201d Gabriel Lagu, the national director for New Life Ministry in South Sudan, said after handing in the medical equipment to the hospital.<\/p>\n

The newly appointed facility\u2019s medical director, Mustafa Lokuru said: \u201cit was the first donation since the health pooled fund withdrew its support.\u201d<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, the newly appointed acting director general in the state ministry of health, Mrs. Clementina Lubuya praised the management of New Life Ministry for providing medical supplies to the state hospital.<\/p>\n
