{"id":40543,"date":"2023-07-21T11:06:13","date_gmt":"2023-07-21T11:06:13","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.africa-press.net\/south-sudan\/all-news\/girls-shine-as-ces-releases-secondary-school-results"},"modified":"2023-07-21T11:17:29","modified_gmt":"2023-07-21T11:17:29","slug":"girls-shine-as-ces-releases-secondary-school-results","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.africa-press.net\/south-sudan\/all-news\/girls-shine-as-ces-releases-secondary-school-results","title":{"rendered":"Girls shine as CES releases secondary school results"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><b>Sheila Ponnie<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ff6600\"><strong>Africa-Press &#8211; South-Sudan. <\/strong><\/span>Female students bossed their male colleagues in the Secondary School Examinations results released by the Central Equatoria State.<\/p>\n<p>The State Minister of Education, Cirisio Zechariah, read out the overall performance of the academic section by gender, revealing that the girl child had really improved in the commercial and technical schools.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe results show that female candidates outperformed male candidates, with 98.1 per cent of female candidates passing the examinations compared to 97.1 per cent of male candidates,\u201d he stated.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe total number of females who sat for the exams was 5,691 and the number of girls who passed was 5,582 with a percentage of 98.1,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n<p>In the 2022\/2023 academic year, the total number of secondary education students who sat for the exams in the state was 13,894, with 13,546 excelling with 97.4 per cent.<\/p>\n<p>The minister said the general performance index of schools in Central Equatorial State in the secondary education examinations in 2022-2023 was greater than 75 per cent.<\/p>\n<p>He stated that the state\u2019s school efficiency has gotten better in comparison to previous years.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWhen compared to male students, female students perform better in commercial sections overall, with 96.2 per cent,\u201d he argued.<\/p>\n<p>\u201c93.1 per cent shows a total of 79 females who sat for the exams and 76 passed with a percentage of 96.2 and the total number of students and there were 137 people who sat for the exanimation, and 130 people passed with a percentage of 94.9,\u201d he read.<\/p>\n<p>In the 2021\/2022 academic year, the total number of secondary education students who sat for the exams in the state was 10,484, with 9,999 passing with a percentage of 95.4 per cent.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe results show that female candidates outperformed male candidates, with 95.5 per cent of female candidates passing the examinations compared to 95.2 per cent of male candidates,\u201d says Ciresio Zechariah told last year<\/p>\n<p><b>Infographics<\/b><\/p>\n<p>The performance of the students in S4 by gender<\/p>\n<p><b>Performance in 2022-2023 in comparison to the previous three years in Central Equatorial State<\/b><\/p>\n<p><b>Source: The City Review South Sudan<\/b><\/p>\n<p><strong>For More News And Analysis About <a href=\"https:\/\/www.africa-press.net\/south-sudan\">South-Sudan<\/a> Follow <a href=\"https:\/\/www.africa-press.net\/\">Africa-Press<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Sheila Ponnie Africa-Press &#8211; South-Sudan.
