Africa-Press – South-Sudan. <\/strong><\/span>Maridi National Teachers\u2019 Training Institute has on Friday graduated its first batch of trained teachers in the college\u2019s history.<\/p>\n The Graduation Exercise was one of the government\u2019s historic initiatives, as most South Sudanese appear to have abandoned the teaching profession due to inadequate salary.<\/p>\n Addressing the graduates in Maridi, Awut Deng, South Sudan\u2019s National Minister of General Education and Instructions described the graduation as a step toward improving the country\u2019s education system.<\/p>\n \u201cIn the last two years, we have embarked on a transformation process to improve access and quality education, particularly teacher training programs like today, which we believe will enhance the education system in the country,\u201d Minister Awut said.<\/p>\n She stated that Maridi Teachers\u2019 Institute will always be at the core of government transformation, emphasizing the institute\u2019s commitment to training it for a brighter future.<\/p>\n \u201cMy advise to instructors is that you are, of course, equipped with tools that will allow you to effectively give great education.
