Africa-Press – South-Sudan. <\/strong><\/span>Vice President Dr. James Wani Igga on Wednesday paid a visit to the head chief of Lobonok Payam who was shot and wounded reportedly by an SSPDF soldier on Tuesday.<\/p>\n

An SSPDF soldier said to be stationed at Pager Hills of Luwala Boma in Lo\u2019bonok since 2020 reportedly went to Chief Matayo Kenyi Jale at his home several on Tuesday.<\/p>\n

Each time he went to the chief\u2019s house, he demanded money, alcohol, and food.<\/p>\n

Lastly, when he returned at around 7: 00 p.m., he was told there was no food- as such he opened fire, hitting the paramount chief in the chest.<\/p>\n

The wounded traditional leader was promptly evacuated to Juba Tuesday evening where he underwent surgery at the Freedom International Hospital.<\/p>\n

On Wednesday Morning, Vice President Dr. James Wani visited the ailing chief at his hospital bed<\/p>\n

In a social media report, the VP assured that the government and the military Headquarters will take serious measures to bring the culprit to justice.<\/p>\n
