Africa-Press – South-Sudan. <\/strong><\/span>The Director General of the National Communication Authority says leaders are not serious when it comes to the distribution of resources to some critical institutions.<\/p>\n

Napoelon Adok made the remarks during the National Economic Conference in Juba on Thursday, September 7.<\/p>\n

He pointed out that the country\u2019s resources were not directed to development programs that can benefit the public.<\/p>\n

Adok stated that if South Sudan wants to make economic progress, it must first identify the opportunities that are there.<\/p>\n

Adok called for the development of communication infrastructures in the county for public goods.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe have misallocated our resources. We didn\u2019t put it where it belongs. We inherited an RK technology from the Sudan and we continue to use it only those with satellite who can afford satellite and generators are able to watch TV because we haven\u2019t invested in it,\u201d said Napoleon.<\/p>\n

\u201cMy question was to demonstrate to the leadership that we need to do something about the Television so that we can keep our public informed,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

\u201cIf we are to make economic progress we must realize the building blocks.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cDigital transformations have been breached enough but there are progressive to it which is the requirement. I will make an example to drive my point over.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cThere are more than 200 V8s parked outside: Half of those V8s can build a fibre optic from here to Malakal and Wau. Half of those V8s can actually implement the broadcasting of television to be received in Raja or Nyamliel: We are not serious.\u201d<\/p>\n
