Africa-Press – South-Sudan. <\/strong><\/span>Central Equatoria Episcopal Church Province enthroned as a new Kajo Keji Diocesan Bishop has pledged peace and reconciliation.<\/p>\n

Bishop Lule James Kenyi has replaced late Emmanuel Murye who passed away in Nairobi, Kenya, on December 6, 2023.<\/p>\n

The late Bishop of the Anglican Episcopal Church of South Sudan reportedly succumbed to a stroke.<\/p>\n

Speaking upon the enthronement held at Emmanuel Cathedral-Romogi, the newly installed bishop praised his predecessor\u2019s great work of returning people to the area.<\/p>\n

He adds that his priority now is to strengthen peace and reconciliation in the area.<\/p>\n

\u201cOur first priority from now is to strengthen peace and reconciliation. During the time of the Late Bishop [Bishop Murle Mude], he had a lot on the issues of peace and reconciliation,\u201d said Lule.<\/p>\n

\u201cMy predecessor did a great work of returning the people of Kajo-Keji back home. Now in my capacity, I will be strengthening peace and reconciliation activities in Kajo-Keji.\u201d<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, his Grace, Archbishop Paul Pitya Yugusuk of Central Equatoria State Internal Province encourages the newly enthroned Bishop to be courageous like King David who defeated giant Goliath.<\/p>\n

Yugusuk further says Kajo-Keji issues require a bold religious leader Bishop to speak for his people.<\/p>\n

\u201cEncourage means having strength in the face of pain. You know there\u2019s pain but you take courage and stand on your feet amidst conflicts and pain,\u201d said Yugusuk.<\/p>\n

\u201cDavid was a courageous man king when Goliath defied the army of the lord, he stood up courageously he said, \u201cLet no man\u2019s courage fail because of him [Goliath],\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

\u201cYour servant will go out and fight with this Philistine]. Courageous king. Be courageous, speak in love. Don\u2019t hide any word because your situation in Kajo-Keji requires you to speak but not to keep quiet.]<\/p>\n

In a written statement published on his official Facebook page, Governor Emmanuel Adil Anthony congratulated the newly enthroned fourth Diocesan Bishop of Kajo-Keji, Rt. Rev. Lule James Kenyi<\/p>\n

The Governor also encouraged the populace to embrace peace, and unity and voluntarily return home to rebuild their lives.<\/p>\n
