Africa-Press – South-Sudan. <\/strong><\/span>The government of South Sudan’s Western Equatoria State on Monday swore in James Richard Ramadan as the new Commissioner of Revenue Authority in the state.<\/p>\n

Speaking during the swearing-in ceremony in the state capital, Yambio, State Governor Alfred Futuyo Karaba urged the state officials to cooperate with the Revenue Authority so that the state government can get resources for development.<\/p>\n

“People may say, why bringing Richard? But because of his commitment to his work, we should cooperate with him to get resources. So let us cooperate with him as our colleague,” Governor Futuyo said.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, the newly appointed Commissioner of Revenue Authority, James Richard Ramadan, affirmed his commitment to collect enough revenue for the state.<\/p>\n

“I am now the Commissioner; I am appealing to everyone working with us that we should work hard to bring enough revenue for the government so that the government can provide service to the citizens,” he said.<\/p>\n

“I am also appealing to traders and all taxpayers to pay money to the government so that the government can offer the services because if there is no money, the government will not work; the power of government is in the Revenue Authority,” he added.<\/p>\n

James Richard was appointed Commissioner of the State Revenue Authority earlier this month.<\/p>\n
