Africa-Press – South-Sudan. <\/strong><\/span>South Sudan People\u2019s Defense Forces (SSPDF) has announced the arrest of three of its service-members after they were involved in an attack in which SSPDF soldiers stormed a police station at Lologo area in Juba to free colleagues who were arrested for links to drug circulation.<\/p>\n

Last Wednesday, three members of the South Sudan People\u2019s Defense Forces were arrested by the police for circulating drugs and at night, their colleagues at the South Sudan People\u2019s Defense Forces allegedly stormed the station to free their colleagues at the station.<\/p>\n

But the army spokesman Major General Lul Ruai Koang is saying that there was no attack at the police station and that only soldiers who were sent to bring the jailed colleagues failed to follow the procedures needed and instead took their colleagues forcefully.<\/p>\n

\u201cThose soldiers were arrested because they were allegedly to have been in possession of some drugs and upon getting the narrations labeled against those three soldiers they were immediately put in detention,\u201d Gen Lul said, according to Eye Radio.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe Police is a law enforcement unit, if our owned services men are accused of wrongdoing then they should be locked in. So after you got this information we immediately detained them at Giada military detention and that was how we brought the situation under control,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n
