Africa-Press – South-Sudan. <\/strong><\/span>Traders in East Darfur State\u2019s El Daein main market have been forced to transport their goods from their shops to homes fearing that they will be looted in the event of clashes between the army and the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) who are outside the town.<\/p>\n

A local journalist, Abu Bakr Al-Sandali, told Radio Tamazuj Saturday that El Daein has had an uneasy calm for the last two days after information emerged that the RSF intends to attack the army headquarters located seven kilometers south of the city.<\/p>\n

\u201cMerchants were forced to transport their goods from shops and warehouses inside the town as the civil administration of the Rizeigat tribe is actively mediating between the two parties to avoid any military confrontation,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

According to a Radio Tamazuj correspondent, since midnight on Friday, the RSF imposed a siege on the army headquarters from all directions, before cutting off the water line to the army command.<\/p>\n

The RSF last week gave a condition that the army unit should surrender or join their ranks.<\/p>\n
