Africa-Press – South-Sudan. <\/strong><\/span>About 70,000 pupils are sitting for their Primary Leaving Examination across South Sudan on Monday morning.<\/p>\n

The candidates including 28,575 males and 30,908 females are scheduled to sit for the exams from today to 24th of November 2023.<\/p>\n

The figure has seen an increase of 16,573 pupils in comparison to the 53,000 candidates who sat in the academic year 2022-2023.<\/p>\n

According to announcement made by the National Examinations Council last month, girls are more than boys by over 2,000 pupils.<\/p>\n

Deputy Minister Martin Tako called on invigilators and the security organs to curb irregularities in the Primary and Secondary school national examinations.<\/p>\n

He also said the security organs should provide a secure and conducive environment for the conduct of the exams.<\/p>\n
