Africa-Press – South-Sudan. <\/strong><\/span>The South Sudan National Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Agriculture launched registration for the Chamber Quality Awards 2023.<\/p>\n The award, which targets quality service providers, among them businesses and personalities, is categorised into four levels: platinum, gold, silver, and bronze.<\/p>\n Speaking during the launch in Juba yesterday, the Chairperson of South Sudan Commerce, Industry and Agriculture, Ladu Lukak, called on businesses and individual service providers to pick their forms and compete for the award scheduled for December 15, 2023.<\/p>\n \u201cAward is not something bad; it is something good. We are doing this to encourage the business companies, be they small or big, to provide services regardless of nationality but operating in South Sudan, including importers, to provide quality services to the people of South Sudan,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n Lukak added, \u201cWe don\u2019t discriminate in business, whether you are a local trader, national or foreigner. We take everyone because the identity of any trader is his or her business licence.\u201d<\/p>\n Meanwhile, the Managing Director for Star Pharmaceutical, Dejen Meldu, who represented the donors during the launch, said the private sector anywhere in the world is an engine for any country.<\/p>\n \u201cBusiness is not all about making a profit for an individual but creating an impact on society.\u201d<\/p>\n He appealed to businesspeople not to create employment opportunities, describing it as one of the most important things in doing business.<\/p>\n \u201cThe private sector can create thousands or hundreds of jobs because, if we look at our country\u2019s population. I think we can develop and create employment for everyone,\u201d Meldu said.<\/p>\n The South Sudan National Chamber of Commerce Quality Awards are an annual programme that promotes a culture of quality service delivery and business excellence in South Sudan.<\/p>\n It is created to follow up direct marketing campaigns with nominees through case studies, interviews and social media activity during the selection process.<\/p>\n The best companies in various business engagements who have excelled tremendously in providing high-quality services and products to the people of South Sudan shall be awarded.<\/p>\n Last year, Conglomerates \u2013 Rak Media Printing Press, Trinity Energy Limited, The City Review and Spectrum Advertising scoped topped the Chamber Quality Award 2022.<\/p>\n In the business sector, The City Review<\/b> was declared the best print media in South Sudan. Advanced Youth Radio took the broadcast position.
