Africa-Press – South-Sudan. <\/strong><\/span>The Juba High Court on Wednesday adjourned the hearing of a land-grabbing case filed against the National Security Service (NSS) by Juba-based Advocate Kiir Chol Deng.<\/p>\n

Last week, the High Court summoned the National Security Service\u2019s (NSS) Internal Security Bureau (ISB) Director General, Gen. Akol Koor, compelling him to explain why his office has failed to vacate Chol\u2019s private property in defiance of a court ruling and order.<\/p>\n

Kiir Chol Deng told Radio Tamazuj that the hearing could not proceed as the presiding judge had gone for a three-day workshop and is expected to return on Monday next week.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe could not do anything today because the judge has gone to a workshop that will take three days. So, we will expect him to come back on Monday next week,\u201d he said. \u201cOn Monday we will make an application to the judge so that he fixes another date therefore we will serve another summon to the NSS.\u201d<\/p>\n

Counsel Chol and the NSS have been locked in a court battle over the said land and the High Court ruled in Chol\u2019s favor in September but the NSS remains adamant about vacating the property.<\/p>\n
