Africa-Press – South-Sudan. <\/strong><\/span>President Salva Kiir has informed the Governors\u2019 forum that anybody who wants to become a president has the right to organize his party and contest peacefully without violence in the 2024 elections.<\/p>\n

Kiir made the remark at the opening of the ongoing 7th Governors\u2019 forum in Juba on Tuesday.<\/p>\n

The head of state is encouraging parties to the peace agreement to cooperate for the country\u2019s transition to a politically and economically stable democracy.<\/p>\n

President Kiir called on the peace parties to refrain from engaging in activities that would destroy South Sudan and harm the citizens.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe are establishing South Sudan as a democratic country. Anybody who wants to become a president has the right to organize their party and contest peacefully without violence,\u201d Kiir told the 7th Governors\u2019 Forum.<\/p>\n

He added that anybody who wants to be a president has the right to organize his or her party and contest elections without violence.<\/p>\n
